Must-Have Bags for the Summer!
Summer is just around the corner and we have a new collection of colourful and earthy bags that are perfect for the sunny days that come with the season. A gorgeous bag is more than just an accessory, especially when its created sustainably with a purpose. The bags are made by Geetha, an artisan living along the western coast of Sri Lanka. Using reeds growing in the rice fields are light and airy, she has let her imagination flow and handcrafted the bags in a way that will bring a smile to your face. Check out the below bags which include some from our existing collection as well. All bags are very limited in quantity, so you know you’re getting a one of a kind piece.
GAYA
These colorful handwoven bags are the perfect-sized shoulder bags that will complement any outfit for any occasion. The bright color shouts summer and fun and carefree breezy summer days. There is enough storage to keep all your essentials and then some. The bags are light and elegant and are sure to become a conversation piece.
ATHA
This reed bag is interwoven with green twine to add strength, color, and interest. The large button and closing loop is also made from reeds and brings a harmonious balance to the bag. The inside is lined to preserve the reed from stains and damage. A unique addition to anyone’s collection with an easy feel and look for the summer.
GEETHA

SAPPU
This little clutch bag is beautiful in its simplicity. The natural color of the reeds is unblemished and just a hint of color is added around the edges. Inside is lined to prevent staining and damage to the reeds.
TAMBA
From our Beyond Leather collection. Handwoven handbags using sun-dried cane. The handles are made from brass (tamba) adding a little bling. Inside has a pocket for a phone. As these are shaped by hand, no two bags will be the same.
BOLAYA
Sun-dried cane handwoven around a cast to form the shape of a ball (boloya). The inside is lined with handloom. Each bag has a unique lining so no two pieces are alike. The lining can be pulled out of the bag and tied or pulled inside and tied. These bags are light and easy to carry.
