Seasoning the Pot
A clay pot must be seasoned prior to use to strengthen and prevent liquid from being absorbed.
bill a bucket or sink with room temperature water and submerge for 24 hours.
Using tap water wash the pot with a gentle sponge.
Wipe off the water using a towel or paper towel
Once dry, apply generous drops of your favorite oil and gently rub all around the interior. Using your fingers is the best.
Apply oil drops to the exterior of the pot and rub all around.
Follow the same procedure for the lid
Let sit for an hour
Place the pot and the lid in a cold oven and turn the oven to 400*. Bake for 30 minutes.
Let the pot cool. any residue oil will be absorbed into the pot as it cools.
Once cooled, place water halfway up the pot and let stand for an hour.
Check to make sure the amount of water you put in is what is left.
You are now ready to use your beautiful clay pots. Enjoy
Care
Do not use harsh cleaning products on your pot.
The more you use the pot, the darker it will become
